“Missing May” is the 1993 Newberry Medal award winner, written signed and inscribed by Cynthia Rylant. The inscription was written to Mary Jane Wiseman at the New Orleans ALA awards ceremony, who was also recognized at the ceremony for her doctoral thesis dealing with childrens reading skills. The book is in very good condition. Dust jacket is a bit misaligned at top. Book itself is clean and unmarked last 2 page lower corners have a slight crease. Tiny nick on inside back book cover paper (see pics). “Missing May” is widely recognized as a classic in childrens literature, and has received several accolades for its literary excellence and emotional impact.
