Historically, it is regarded as the language of the Israelites and their ancestors, although the language was not referred to by the name Hebrew in the Tanakh. Today, Hebrew is spoken by a total of 9 million people worldwide. This foreign language course was developed by The Foreign Services institute. It is meant to be used as a crash course in a foreign language for basic conversational ability by a foreign traveler or diplomat. It is an introductory course meant for beginners and includes basic conversational language by native speakers. This course consists of 60 lessons in mp3 format, with 1 student text in PDF format of over 500 pages. Adobe Reader is required to view the PDF files, while the mp3 files can be listened to by any audio player on your PC. Total run time of course: 22 hours, 18 minutes, 40 seconds.
